Kosovo Customs reports that in the context of combating smuggling with tobacco products yesterday, they have stopped a smuggling case in Pristina.
Customs reports that anticontract units have banned a VW nation vehicle with Kosovo license plates run by a Kosovo citizen.
“During vehicle control, tobacco products have been found, and immediately in co-operation with investigative organs, even the driver's home where other tobacco quantities have been found”, the Customs communiqué says.
According to the communiqué, 107kg of non-refused tobacco were confiscated, then about 25 thousand pieces of cigarettes and 49 thousand filters for cigarettes and cards for cigarettes.
These are tobacco products for which higher goods have not had documentation cover and we suspect they are smuggled”, said the communique.
The entire amount has been confiscated and the case has continued for customs violations as well as further investigation.
