Sofia has become a fortress for the past two days. Security guards are on every corner of town.

Over 30 delegations led by presidents and prime ministers are participating in the important summit, which is being held in Sofia, Bulgaria, between the European Union (BE) and the Western Balkan countries.

Several thousand security members have been committed to the security of this summit, which is being held at the National Palace of Culture. Members of police, special forces, as well as gendarmerie are the streets of the country.

Bulgaria's capital has also implemented a special traffic plan for these days, where many roads have been blocked.

Security on such a high scale is not seen as 28 delegations from the highest EU levels are part of this summit, as well as 6 delegations from the Western Balkans, where Kosovo, Serbia, and Albania are located.

A total of 900 reporters were accredited to attend this event.
