Great themes in the interest of Kosovo or politicians?

Political tables have already become a regular form of organisation of debates among political parties. After the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the third table in a row has been invited by the Vetevendosje Movement. But even though such tables are supposed to result in compromises over major issues [...]
But, although it is supposed that such tables as a result bring compromises about major issues for the country -- each political party that has been or will be economically -- has determined the very agenda of discussions.
At the first table, The LDK had called for consensus about the country's being sent to elections with political agreements. At the second table, The PDK had sought consensus about Kosovo's platform for the final phase of dialogue with Serbia and the establishment of the Serb majority municipalities' Association.
The Vetevendosje Movement expects that early elections will be discussed at the next table, called for Friday. Meanwhile, the particular table under Vetevendosje's direction is that no invitation has been extended to the political subject representing the Serb community, respectively.
Vetevendosje Movement Foreign Relations Secretary Boyka Abazi said the invitation has been sent to all political subjects registered in the Republic of Kosovo in and outside the Assembly, including national minorities but not also the Serbian List.
According to Abbas, there is no point in being included at such a table by persons or representatives working against the state and independence of Kosovo.
As for achieving political consensus on topics named as general interest, Vetevendosje has determined that this time to be discussed on the subject, “The solution through elections”. This is a topic that according to Abbas, consensus can be reached without the Serbian List.
“Already numbers in the Parliament exist, if the deputies of the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement, those of the Social Democrat Party of Kosovo, and these numbers are all more than the current government's numbers without the Serbian List, and these numbers would be enough to bring the issue through a vote of confidence on the part of the government or distrust on the part of the opposition”, Abazi says.
He adds that there is frustration even within the current ruling coalition by various Kosovo Parliamentary deputies, and, according to him, at such a table, a consensus for holding early elections should be reached within this year.
Vetevendosje has not participated in the last table, held under the direction of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
Kosovo Assembly MP Elmi Recica, from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, tells Radio Free Europe that political consensus cannot be reached by failing to respond to the table invitation or inviting a political subject.
The “is not right and I doubt the sincerity of those political subjects and their leaders who make exceptions or who do not go to tables or meetings that invite other parties or isolate parties that are part of our institutional life. I don't think we can get to a unique compatibility, to a consensus on the processes that are weighty for this country”, says Recica.
He adds that any conversation, dialogue would have to be mandatory for all those thinking of moving forward.
“So far we've had many meetings and such tables, but there has been a displacement among political parties, not concluded with a broader and sustainable agreement as to the process that is weighty, important and vital for the country”, says Recica.
On the other hand, Boykan Abazi from Vetevendosje stresses that at Friday's table, a statement regarding the main topic dealing with elections as elections will be made, but other important developments for the country such as Euro-Atlantic integrations are.
He says that at the end of this time, the election issue must return to the Kosovo Assembly within the country's institutions, so that these tables are not used as replacements for work that should take place within the institutions.
It is to be seen the position of political subjects on this table to be clarified once and for all because sometimes these attitudes have changed within the day or within the week, so we will ask the political subjects for a statement on the main topic that this table is being held, but also for other important developments for the country such as Euro-Atlantic integration”, Abazi said.
Otherwise, at the second table the political parties participating in the table agreed that the heads of parliamentary groups will take the role of table preparation.
It was set to address topics on future tables such as the founding of the Kosovo Army, Kosovo dialogue Serbia, the agenda of European reforms, the national consensus for association and electoral reforms.
