Thaci seeks Rugova's conviction for treason, today calls it visionary

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci today decorated the late former President Ibrahim Rugova with the Presidential Medal of Independence under the 10th anniversary, Periscope reported earlier. To get the medal, present was say the entire family of the former LDK leader.

While still alive, Rugova's biggest political opponent was Thaci himself, who had lost all electoral confrontations with him.

The Thaci-Rugova political relations were very tense, a strain conveyed even to the various branches of their political parties in Kosovo in which many incidents occurred. Rugova was a representative of the peace wing, while Thaci was a representative of the wartime wing. So was public perception.
