The Ministry of Justice and the EU Office in Kosovo are organising a discussion table under the information campaign “Civil Codi and its impact on the economy: contractual property rights”.
Although Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri would attend this table, he could not come because he is attending the Assembly session.
Civil Code Project representative Alfonso Lentze, who is participating in the discussion, said Kosovo should have a modern piece of legislation.
We should have a modern piece of legislation. I was so happy to have a great interest in that. You will all have a bright future after liberalisation becomes”, he said.
While Civil Code Project representative Hadzi Gashi said a large number of laws affect citizens every day.
We are in the final phase of the draft. A large number of laws affect the lives of citizens. We face the Civil Code every day since the smallest cases”, he said.
According to him, good law will also positively affect economic development.
If we have a good law we influence economic development and we reduce cases in courts. There are many unregistered properties in Kosovo. The fact that we have records properties can't even leave them on the mortgage. So we're here to harmonize these” laws, he said.
