Spain's opposition Socialist Party has made a no-confidence motion against this country's prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, a day after the People's Party was said to have benefited from illegal schemes.
Pedro Sanchez, leader of PSOE, said the verdict on the corruption case called “Gurtel” constitutes “serious health damage to our democracy” and further questioned Rajoy's credibility.
“Since we made a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Rajoy this morning, he said after meeting with the PSOE Executive Committee today.
Even the Podemos anti-austerity party has said it will support the Socialists in this motion.
While the centre-right party Ciudadanos has said I would support the motion, except in the case Rajoy announces early elections.
Things look very bad for the current Spanish prime minister even in the polls, with the party Ciudadanos coming first. /Periscopi
