The attacker, who has not been identified, is reportedly shot to death by police after killing several people, leaving one of them dead.
The incident occurred in central Paris Opera District.
The occasional Witnesses spoke in panic, showing how people were running off the road to enter restaurants. The motive of the attack has not yet been disclosed.
