GDP and the PSD have already signed a union agreement, which will become official 9 May at the Social Democrat Party's election assembly.
The new chairman of this party is expected to be Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti, or former Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymer.
So has made it known to the newspaper “Voice” current Social Democrat Party chairman Bajram Kelmendi, who confirmed that on Tuesday the 12 MPs of GDP join his political subject.
It is the assembly meeting and will be held 9 May, at 5 o'clock. We made an agreement with the Independent MP group, signed it, and we made it formal. They will join the Social Democrat Party -- that is, 12 independent deputies with a number of their sympathisers” -- he has declared.
Kelmendi indicated that he would personally be a member of the Party's Headship.
Meanwhile, positions within the party with 12 new MPs will split according to the Social Democrat Party statute.
