Shpend Ahmeti begins work as chairman PSD stinging Albin Kurti

Shpend Ahmeti has chosen another political path, separate from Albin Kurti. Since yesterday he is president of the Social Democratic Party, where he passed along with the majority of those resigned from the Vetevendosje Movement.

In his first speech as party chairman, Ahmeti also stinged Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti, writes Periscopi.

Ahmeti stinged Kurti for a stance he had given during his platform, when he ran for chairman of Vetevendosje.

By activism, you can't get rich materially despite the possibilities. If you're in politics, you shouldn't be richer than when you weren't in politics. Thus, it is imperative that the wealth of Movement politicians does not grow over time. It is even preferable to become poorer by being in politics. But, by no means richer”, Kurt said

With these attitudes Ahmeti has agreed, and has taken care to make it clear.

And we're not asking you today to change, to dress up in some form and look different. PSD members should not look poorer and more qualified than they are to represent someone”, Ahmeti said.

Incompatibility in Vetevendosje became public late last year. Since then, there have been several resigns who restructured the existing PSD. /Periscopi/
