Former President of Decani, now deputy in the Kosovo Assembly Rasim Selmanaj, has reacted following the fraudulent efforts of the Decani Monastery and the Serbian Church to block the works on the Decan/Plav magical route.

Selmanaj's full response to Facebook:

Dear citizens!

Today Sava Yanjiqi has reacted to Decan-Plav Street again!

I don't think blocking the development of the Komuna is the interest of the monastery, on the contrary!

I invite the monastery representatives to cooperate with the municipality and push ahead with projects that are in the interest of the Monastery itself!

The transit road blocked in 2007 was blocked at the meeting called by the French ambassador on my request!

I had received the government's promise then, but the project continued to be blocked, so at the French Embassy, the meeting was held with the theme; construction of Decan-Plava Street!

At the meeting were Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, Samuel Zbogar, US Ambassador Christopher Dell, Sava Janjiq, Rasim Selmanaj accompanied by directors, Rame Melaj and Agron Demukaj!

This meeting unblocked this project, and four years earlier it started building this road where two miles and two more were opened, but it was not supported by the Mustafa Government!

Now when this project has the support of Haradinaj Government, obstacles are unacceptable and unhealthy to the monastery!

I want to remind you, Mr. President. The Sava that we had a memorandum for the asphalt of the existing 2.4km road in the protected area, so the continuation of the existing road asphalt is before at least in the best of the monastery! Komuna and Mayor Ramosaj are right!

By two “detained” we had two roads that went so they must continue because the law on the protected area does not stop when there is will!
