UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called for the immediate ban on all hostile acts and provocative actions in the Middle East to avoid a new outbreak of conflicts.
UN spokesman Stefan Dzhik also told reporters that UN peacekeeping forces at Golan's heights remain in contact with the Syrian and Israeli armies, urging both sides to show maximum restraint and maintaining the 1974 ceasefire agreement.
