A Hawaiian volcano is expected to explode after hundreds of earthquakes and the fall of one of the crater floors.
Geologists warn that the mortar could explode on the ground east of Kilauea, the most active among the island's 5 volcanoes.
According to the daily “The Independent”, authorities have called on residents to be on the alert, as scientists spotted the magma moving underground under the main road near homes in the work area.
More than 250 earthquakes have been recorded since a crater floor collapsed in Puu Oʹo earlier this week.
Most were small, yet many of them were felt by the inhabitants, including an earthquake of 4.2 Magnitudes, shaking the shore Tuesday morning.
Scientists have warned that this seismic activity can lead to the outbreak of the lava, even though they cannot say where or when that might happen.
