Russian police release Navajo after protests

Russian police have released opposition leader Alexei Navajo. He posted today a reaction on Twitter, where he announced his supporters that he was released but faces charges of organising an activity without permission as well as resistance to police. Navajo was arrested yesterday in Moscow's Pushkin Square during protests accompanying Vladimir Putin's inauguration ceremonies for a fourth presidential term.
Over 1,300 protesters were arrested throughout Russia.
Police also detained journalist Alexei Alexandrov, who works for a news show that is conducted in collaboration between the Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/ Radio Freedom. He announced that police were kicking and pushing journalists. He says he has not seen a similar aggressive reaction from police at previous protests led by Navajo.
