A Russian national has been killed in Ukraine's capital, local police reports.
It's about investigative journalist and television host Arkby Babchenko.
By “RT”, Babchenko was killed with firearms Tuesday afternoon in Kiev.
Known as Putin's open critic, the 41-year-old has been executed in his apartment and found by his wife.
He died in an ambulance on his way to the hospital.
This marks the second murder of a high profile Russian journalist in Kiev in less than two years after Sheremet was killed by a car bomb in 2016.
Babchenko was one of Russia's most famous war correspondents, but he had left Moscow, fearing for his life.
He had served in the Russian Army during the first separatist war in Chechnya during the 1990s and later became a journalist. <
He worked as a military correspondent for some Russian media.
Babchenko had sharply criticised the Kremlin in recent years.
He left Russia in February 2017, saying he was receiving threats and worried that he could be imprisoned, writes The Guardian
In the autumn, Babchenko moved to Kiev, where he worked for the Tatar TV Crime News station, ATR. (Empty)
