Another relief expected for fellow countrymen at the border

The Ministry of Diaspore and Strategic Investments in co-operation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, today at the Merdar border point, have launched the software for paying out security officers.

Diaspore and Strategic Investments Minister Dardan Gashi said this initiative facilitates the arrival of fellow countrymen in Kosovo, and with this action will drastically facilitate entry into Kosovo for all fellow countrymen

However, he said they are working to remove this huge burden that over the years has brought difficulties to fellow Kosovars, the absence of the Green Carton.

It's an important day especially for our fellow countrymen, because from now on, additional insurance will be made that will be needed to enter Kosovo, so it will be electronically controlled by our police. So it will speed up and decrease its expectation. Hopefully our countrymen will be pleased too. It's not all the way we've started, the road is to get rid of this insurance and we're in collaboration with our insurance companies and the International Insurance Bureau, so soon as this bar has been removed that has been attached to our countrymen. We believe that this problem will soon be removed from”, Gashi said.

While, Minister of Internal Affairs Bejtush Gashi said he praised the great importance of this project because, by carrying out online payments, the expectations of exiles at the border will also be eliminated.

We hope that in the future we will meet and at other events that will be a facilitating opportunity of circulation for our fellow citizens living in the diaspora”, Gashi stressed.

The executive director of the Kosovar Insurance Bureau, Blerim Pushcoli, explaining the procedures of this launched project today, said that efforts are continuing for Kosovo to enter Green Carton, but according to him, there are technical obstacles such as Kosovo's UN membership, as well as another problem remains the large number of unsanitified cars.

We're going to start with an alternative project of online police buyers today, but now with a very easy approach via the BKS website. All concerned, citizens who need this police can access the BKS website and there simply fill their personal data, head to the ProCredit Bank, which with an infrastructure and very certainly allows for payment of these officers. Hopefully this will be a good opportunity for fellow citizens and I believe in the success of this” project, Pushcol said.

While beating Pacolli from the BKS said he has, in this case, asked Prime Minister Haradinaj to pay the insurance officers for fellow countrymen as for the Presevo Valley that was acted in 2013.

I'm looking for something else from Haradinaj Government, so that our countrymen can do as we did in 2013 with former Prime Minister Thaci, who for the Presevo Valley has lifted expenses, I'm talking about private vehicles, not businesses. So fellow countrymen come even more, and during the year they bring about 1 billion euros and here is the Government, which mostly benefits”, Pacolli said.

This system will be functional at all border points.
