Severe, degrading and offensive debate, as well as physical clash between the deputy head of the Parliament, who is also deputy PDK, Xhavit Haliti with LDK deputy Arben Gashi, have put the State Prosecutor in motion. Of the latter has already been ordered to launch investigations, as well as interviewing two Kosovo Assembly deputies. So said chief prosecutor at Pristina Foundation Prosecutor Ymer Beka.
Only during today have Kosovo Police investigators visited the Assembly facility twice.
They had gone to question Xhavit Halit of the PDK and Arben Gashi of LDK, about the physical conflict they had had on Friday last night.
But investigators returned empty from the Assembly. There they could not question any of the people's chosen ones.
The order to question MPs after the recent conflict has been issued by chief prosecutor at Pristina Foundation Prosecutor Ymer Beka.
I can confirm that the State Prosecutor has already launched investigations into the conflict in the Parliament days ago. Investigators have gone to the Assembly to interview MPs, but they had not been to the Assembly. The prosecution is continuing the investigation into this case”, Beka told Express.
And meanwhile LDK deputy Arben Gashi has stated last night that he has repented of the behaviour and vocabulary used in the Parliament, clarifying that his behaviour does not represent his role in the Parliament.
We remember that Haliti, while voting for two judges of the Constitutional Court, has approached MP Gashi and struck him with the elbow in his belly. Until Gashi the day before the physical attack had literally offended Haliti during the Parliament hearing.
Both MPs' actions have been criticised by non-governmental organisations overseeing Kosovo Assembly work.
