Pristina municipality Deputy Chairman Selim Pacolli has welcomed the Law's approval for Pristina.

In this interview given to the newspaper “The new age”, he has expressed conviction that this law will bring about the beginning of a new developmental stage for the capital.

He has said the law equates Pristina's treatment with each chief centre of the region's states and wider.

In addition to the particular position guaranteed to the capital, according to Pacolli, the benefit of the law is the increasing municipal budget by government grants.

It has shown that this implies increasing opportunities for new investment in the capital, pushing ahead with a series of projects that, the cause of budget implications, have been postponed year after year.

In this interview Selim Pacolli has also spoken about governance in the municipality, saying that the work of this government will affect every citizen of Pristina.

“Co-operation with Chairman Ahmeti is at the right level and governance is being done on the basis of the programming forecast that served also as the prerequisite for reaching agreement before the second round of elections. As far as projects are concerned, some of them are subject to AKR's plan-program, but now, after program harmonisation, things are being pushed forward as one. The important thing is that capital investments in the capital will not be lacking and youth, as my main point, will not be neglected, but will be a priority, along with green Pristina, an investment which is necessary”, Pacolli said.
