President calls institutions to do more for firefighters

President Hashim Thaci on World Fire Day has said Kosovo institutions should do more for the welfare of firefighters.

“Today is the International Day of Daily heroes of our society, firefighters. I wish all our girls and boys, who daily alone fight fire, to save lives and property of our citizens. Kosovo institutions, but also our entire society, should do more for their well-being, thus investing in our collective security”, he has written, follows Kosovas.

4 May was designated a world fire day since 1999, after four firefighters in Australia died in tragic circumstances in flames.
