The Podujevo municipality demands that someone guard the forest guards

The Podujevo municipality through a reaction to the media expresses concern over physical attacks on forest guards during the commission to protect property and public property.

The latest case occurred on May 17th, when Nedmi Selmani was physically attacked in the village of Dobratin by forest pests.

The Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Forests Agency and other relevant organs have been informed about the case.

Unfortunately, this case is not the only one when forest guards are attacked while on duty in preserving public wealth.

“We seek from competent Kosovo police and justice bodies to take legal measures in protecting and creating physical security for forest guards during their duty, to preserve forests from illegal cutters”, the Podujevo municipality response reported.
