Government officials say political-technical troops are in constant contact with Montenegro's Government. While the opposition thinks there will be no literal correction of the border line with Montenegro but only a waste of time.
After crossing the demarcation to the Kosovo Assembly, government officials say that correcting the border line with Montenegro will take place under the agreement between the two presidents of the two states. Halil Matoshi, from the government cabinet, believes that in the near future the two state teams will start working:
“Kuzin will move according to the agreement, towards the Tower and Chuckorit, and this will soon be a reality. The political-technical group, the Government of Kosovo and the prime minister, is in contact and negotiations or daily institutional talks with all the country's institutions, respectively, and that will soon happen”, RTK Matosin quoted.
But Glauk Konjufca, from Vetevendosje, said that correcting the borderline was the rationale of the Haradinaj government to pass the demarcation, which was the version of Isa Mustaf. He says that parliamentary investigation is needed for mistakes made: As far as I have information, those improvements cannot go up to 200 metres, while the allegations that the conflict came into question constitute 8 thousand and 200 hectares, while on airlines or geographic lines amounting to 4-5km deep in Kosovo's territory, from which border control points and UNMIK and KFOR and Kosovo until 2009..., Konjufca said.
Lutfi Haziri, also from the Democratic League of Kosovo, the process of correcting the border line with Montenegro calls it a waste of time:
I don't expect there to be correction, there may be exchange, exchange or equality of territory if we want to improve the Chuckorr line either in the Tower, or in Dleb, there are three other places where they will correct, but territorially it should be an inch of equal or as the law and criteria predict. Kosovo neither loses nor benefits only because it has earned itself work perhaps to move, improve or exchange parts of the” territory, Haziri said.
Otherwise, the government is convinced that correcting the border line with Montenegro will take place before the set deadline of two years.
