The Steering Board of the European Co-operation Programme in Science and Technology (COST) has made the decision to include Kosovo in this important European programme as a nearby COST country.
This good news for Kosovo researchers has been communicated to Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi, from the president of COST Association, Syerd Cloetingh through a letter, where he congratulated Minister Bytyqi and Kosovo researchers, who have encouraged them to continue engaging in COST's actions.
“as a close country of COST, Kosovo researchers have the right to be repaid for their participation in COST's actions, according to existing COST rules”, is said in the letter of the President of Association, Syerd Cloetingh, who, among other things, has expressed a desire to welcome Kosovo researchers to the European Co-operation Programme in Science and Technology.
Minister Bytyqi has thanked the Consul of the Honor of Kosovo in Austria, David Ungar-Klein, as well as the Austrian state for its contributions to our country's accession process in COST.
Kosovo membership in COST, other than that, opens up opportunities to co-operate with our scientists with the dominant scientists in different fields and is a good opportunity for the benefit of funds for various scientific research.
