MPs from the Kosovo Assembly do not have enough room for carrying out their duties.

At least that's how some of the MPs from Parliamentary Groups declared (GP) in an interview for Online Economy.

In their absence, all MPs' meetings take place at the Parliamentary Group office or even in other improvised spaces.

With the issue resolved, according to Democratic League of Kosovo deputy chief (LDK), Avdullah Hoti, the chairman of the Assembly must be taken.

He said the lack of Assembly space has been established several times even in the Parliament's leadership.

This case directly belongs to the Speaker of the Parliament, we've raised several times in the Parliament's chairmanship that a plan must be made for reorganizing all of the Framework”.
“Deputates have a work table where they can fulfill their constitutional duties, which they have as Kosovo Parliament deputy, have a work table, a computer, have a seat, an office where they can meet with citizens who have elected”, he said.
Ganimete Musliu from the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), said that in addition to offices, MPs need support staff.

She even proposed that more space be given to the interns in the Assembly.
“As deputies and third mandaters of space in the Kosovo Assembly I see as insufficient, we have a parliamentary group hall there that we hold our regular and simple meetings even when we have meetings with citizens but we have to make it to those” offices.

I consider that in addition to space MPs need support staff or be allowed to take even interns, since a job effort is required today for a job experience”.

According to Vetevendosje Movement deputy (LVV), Albulen Haxhiu, if they want real work from one MP then the minimum what is to be provided to them is the delivery of work spaces.

If we want the actual work of an MP and the real work of the Republic of Kosovo, then the minimum what we can do is to provide them with work spaces”.

According to her, the cabinet of the Speaker of the Parliament, which has a technical role, should not have office currently.

“Perhaps much more is being given space to the Speaker of the Assembly, where there is more than 10 people that is unnecessary because the chairman of the Assembly has more technical role, representative or chairmanship at parliamentary sessions”.

“... What is most important is to the parliamentary commissions, and there should be capacity-powered, but also staffed, which help with the performance of”, she said.

While, Teuta Haxhiu from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), said that for them to do their jobs as MPs often exploit the offices of the GP chief, the offices of the MP women group or even owls.

She asked the mayors to open an office in which all MPs of political subjects could meet with citizens, EO reports.
We use the offices of both the chief or the office of the MP women group to be either in the buffet”.

I had all the mayors in the municipality to think of the deputies in their municipality to open an office to”.

The Online economy has also contacted the Secretary of the Assembly's Office on the matter, but they have not answered the questions forwarded to MPs' concerns about lack of space.
