Minister of Trade and Industry Bajram Hasani has said that the Government of Kosovo every day is working to enable free trade and less barriers.
Hasan during the opening of the international fair “Expokos” in Pristina has said that from receiving the mandate as minister are working even on the side of legislation that Kosovo be a competitive market.
The “is good when such fairs are organised, because many foreign companies are present, and that means that bridges of co-operation can be created. Such Paniaries recognise companies among themselves, and we as the Government of Kosovo are doing more and more work every day to enable free trade and to remove barriers, tariffs and not tariffs that Kosovo really is a competitive business”, the minister has stressed.
The minister has said that the decisions the Ministry of Trade and Industry has made clearly show that the priority is the country's development.
“Vlen points out that after receiving the mandate, I as minister, am very interested in being instructed in legislation, to direct Kosovo into a production society, because Kosovo needs to produce even more. Every day with the decisions we are making as minister, we are creating even more opportunities for businesses, and this clearly shows that we have a priority in developing the country. Removing customs and excises in terms of production lines and spare parts shows that we are committed to giving our companies space to be competitive on the local market”.
Minister Hasani has also mentioned the swallowers Kosovo has and the conditions it offers as a country for foreign investors.
Kosovo has high priority, given its new age, the modern infrastructure that has been created and is being created. All these are preconditions for investing in Kosovo. Significantly, the Doing Business report, published by the World Bank, Kosovo has been one of the most reformist countries in terms of doing business, where it has emerged as the tenth country. This shows that we have made enough progress, and we should use”, Hasani stressed.
Hasan has said that reforms will continue in legislation as well as Kosovo becoming an even more ideal place to do business.
This year we will continue reforms with legislation. We've been proceeding with the Trade Society Law, but it's back because of the gender quota, but I believe that soon the Assembly will be completed and there will be real progress in the rankings of doing business”.
The minister has called for foreign companies to come to Kosovo and seize the opportunity the Strategic Investment Law offers.
“I am hoping that even this year we will have progress, we have lived through the Strategic Investment Law, we seek from foreign investors who are interested in coming to Kosovo. Soon we will hold an international conference on investors, and we have 11 areas of interest that may come to invest”, said Minister Hasani.
