Today there is World Day without Tobacco. May 31 is World Day without Tobacco, O The BSH and other partners mark this day, raising the health issue for the dangers associated with tobacco use, as well as the policy reduction to reduce tobacco consumption.
Shkumbin Spahija, executive director KDC, said the tobacco control law is very low.
Several factors have been influenced by this decline, one of which is holding elections, and that is what citizens and businesses used, as well as not co-ordinating institutions to respect law”, he said today in RTK.
Other institutions have not done enough to respect this law, as he did. He estimated the law in Kosovo is too advanced to prevent smoking. Kosovo's “Tobacco Control Law is the best in the region and wider. We have also had appreciation for the” law, he declared.
Spahija said we should focus on respecting this law that would have a positive effect on the anti-smoking law. The IA did so on the grounds that about 500 packs of tobacco enter Kosovo. “About 25 % of Kosovo's population smokes”, he stressed.
