LDK at emergency meeting, because Hashim Thaci

“Yes, it is true, waiting we are at 4: 00 p.m. the meeting will begin”, Osmani has declared.

It is reported that the reason for the chairmanship gathering is the question of making the decision, whether the LDK will support the LDK, President Hashim Thaci for the leadership of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

“Today the Democratic League will hold the meeting, the reason is the support or not of the LDK for Thaci to be chief negotiator for Kosovo-Serbia” talks, Blic newspaper reports.

It is reported that the Democratic League Parliamentary Group will oppose Thaci leading the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Otherwise, the Democratic League of Kosovo has named the platform presented by the government for dialogue with Serbia as poor and document that defines neither topics for discussion, principles nor deadlines.

The head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Avdullah Hoti, has also expressed his disappointment over the leadership role this platform gives to the president in the dialogue process, stressing that this role is attributed to him in the absence of the ruling coalition's power to lead the country's major processes.

“The LDK will analyse this platform in the coming days and in consultation with its structures and the Parliamentary Group will take the decision”, Hoti said during the LDK's regular weekly conference.

Opposition parties in Kosovo insist President Hashim Thaci is not at the top of the dialogue process with Serbia, now as his final phase approaches. According to the opposition, the Assembly is the highest body to decide on the issue.
