During the five months of 2018 Kosovo's independence has only recognised Barbados, as Serbia's diplomacy is constantly trying to convince countries that have recognised Kosovo to pull them back.
During yesterday, Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli, along with his cabinet, has participated in the Visegrad Process Minister (Polon, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia), plus the Western Balkan countries, at the forum dedicated to the expansion of these countries in the European Union. From here Pacolli has sought recognition of Kosovo's independence from some of these countries that have not recognised him. Regarding the lobby Serbia is making for attracting recognitions by states that have recognised Kosovo's independence officials from the Government of Kosovo have said that no one can prevent Kosovo on the path towards integration into the European Union and that nobody can even prevent the recognition process.
Officials from the Commission for Foreign Affairs for “Zrin” have stated that Kosovo is the one who should change access to Serbia, while according to political analysts Serbia is only using dialogue in Brussels as a pretext for normalising relations with Kosovo, while by actions it is doing otherwise.
Officials from the Kosovo government have declared that no one can stand in the way of Kosovo towards European integration, as well as that of new recognitions.
