Signs in English, Jewish and Arabic are located near the American consulate, which on May 14th will serve as the US Embassy building after moving from Tel Aviv.
American President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to carry the embassy to this city has faced worldwide dissatisfaction, including the main allies in Europe.
This decision has been described as an American attempt to undermine peace between Israelites and Palestinians.
The embassy strike was originally scheduled to take place in 2019, but Israel has accelerated the process by eliminating bureaucratic barriers.
