At least 12 Palestinians have lost their lives during today's violent protest in Israel.
As reported among the more than 500 injured, at least 35 of them have bullet wounds, shot by Israeli forces, who, according to authorities, have been forced to use firearms for self-defence after protesters have crossed the safety fence.
The US opened its new embassy in Jerusalem today, a movement much liked by Israel, but condemned by Palestinians who have gathered in mass protests.
Senior American officials will attend Monday's ceremony, including President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kouchner.
While most European diplomats will not be present. Trump's decision to move the embassy from Tel Aviv has angered Palestinians who claim East Jerusalem as capital of the future Palestinian state.
Israel took control of East Jerusalem in the 1967 Middle East war and considers it the eternal, inseparable capital.
