Health Insurance Steering Board Begins

After appointment days ago by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo of Health Insurance Board ( The FSSB, at the Ministry of Health, was held today the first meeting of this board, which is the Fund's highest decision-making body in accordance with the Health Insurance Law.

The health ministry through a media statement has indicated that at this constitutional meeting, board members have been notified by Health Insurance Fund Task Officer Fatmir Plakiqi regarding the responsibilities of this body, while with unanimous decision by board members, chairman of the first year's rotation principle, will be Naim Bardiqi, the representative of the MSH on this board.

Also, at this meeting, the Board has decided to begin preparations for announcing the public competition for the selection of the Director of Health Insurance Fund, who will at the same time be Secretary of the Fund's Board without a vote, as well as on technical issues related to the work of the Board.

According to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo decision, No. 1142, on April 19, 2018, the Health Insurance Fund's management board has this composition: Naim Bardiqi of the Ministry of Health; Jevat Zanullahu, Ministry of Finance; Izedin Bytyqi-The Ministry of Labour and Social Management; Rhezart Halili-Oda of Kosovo Doctors; Naim Ismail-Asciation of Kosovo municipalities and Muhamedal Kodra- Association of the Rights of the Patients of Kosovo.

The mandate of appointees at the Steering Board is three years old.
