Health insurance and police salary hikes are urgently required

Former Kosovo Police General Director Behar Selimi has called on institutions urgently to find a solution to the police's health and vital security. He has said that in this respect the Kosovo Police are the worst not only in Europe, but also in the world.

In this interview given to the newspaper “The new age”, Selimi has suggested that restricting public money in goods and services, as well as reorganising the administration, removing most unnecessary agencies from the budget, provides financial resources for police, soldiers and firefighters

He has demanded that the Law for Police, which envisions early police retirement, be adopted as soon as possible.

Similarly, Selimi has called on institutions to find adequate ways to raise police salaries.
