Hasan at a conference that has been organised by the MTI for World Metrology Day, has stressed that since the start of his work as minister has cost great importance to metrology.
“We are very determined that metrology will play its role, because it is one of the main pillars because of the measurements, calibrations and importance it has and always has, and always, metrology, accreditation and standardisation need stronger support, and we are committed to bringing our legislation together and harmonising it with that of the European Union, to create a better quality and infrastructure, so that our businesses can be competitive even in foreign markets<1> Hasani said.
Hasan has announced that the Law for this agency has entered into force that envisions 35 administrative guidelines, and according to him, concrete works are being done.
The path to meteorology has entered into force last week and envisions some 35 administrative guidelines and we believe very soon the working groups will be formed. We are determined that these push forward and the law is as functional as possible. We also thank the European Commission for helping us greatly in the field of meteorology with the technical assistant, the accreditment, but also standardization. We are now waiting to have concrete jobs with a World Bank project that has begun, and soon they will start investing in their respective labs. It's a value of 14.3 million dollars and a portion of that amount will go into meteorology. This shows that we have devoted much importance to metrology, because it is a key area of quality”, Hasani said during the conference.
The minister stressed that Kosovo's metric system is part of the national quality technical infrastructure.
The quality of Kosovo products and services confirmed by accreditation is the basis for quality. The Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Kosovo Metrology Agency with their policies and the objectives of building the metrology system are intended to provide as professional and quality metrological services, within the framework of existing labs, which are under the management of APC”, Hasani said.
