Prime Minister Haradinaj presented the Government's achievements in rule of law, respectively, to meet all criteria in the legislative field, where he highlighted the work, which has been done in processing the necessary laws of the law-governance package, such as it is for the prevention of conflict of interest, state prosecution, asylum and foreigners, financing political parties etc., and draft laws on the field of fighting corruption and organised crime, such as the Law of the Anti-corruption Agency, statement of assets, protection of informants and additional authorisations and authorisations.
Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that with high-level meetings held under the auspices of the prime minister, the accountability of relevant institutions has increased.
In the security field Kosovo has scored success and security mechanisms are now more focused and accounting. Upon receiving the Progress Report, the Government has developed the Action Plan to address the challenges mentioned in the European Commission Report 2018 specifically and accurately. Kosovo has also made progress in transparency by publishing public contracts and responding to all requests for access to official documents. Priorities remain accounting policies, institutional effectiveness and transparency”, Prime Minister Haradinaj added.
Kosovo has worked hard at meeting the criteria and is committed to successfully addressing the remaining challenges.
The prime minister confirmed that Kosovo is ready for visa liberalisation.
