Parliamentary deputies are holding interference with the prime minister over the Kosovo government's decision to share financial means in the amount of one million euros to COST, for covering the electricity supply expenditures of four municipalities in northern Kosovo.
Alternative MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila has spoken on behalf of the LDK, saying Kosovo's authority in the north does not manage with its assets.
“Today, although Kosovo is an administrative territory of the KOSTT Kosovo institutions, KEK, KEDS do not have access to its assets in the north of the country, today they are maintained by Kosovo Serb workers, who are paid by Elevreda Srbija (EPS), or even by the revenues that are illegally collected for running the current which the KED is currently providing. In the absence of any such official control of the time, KEK as a distributor of electricity and in preparation for the privatisation process of the government's distribution company and KED transaction adviser, at the request of the MZHE at the time, has been asked by the ZRE to account for losses in the system from no electricity payments to the north, and to be fortunate to all the immediate distributor consumers”, Kusari-Lila said.
She said on December 1, 2017, COSTT informs state leaders that the losses of this institution will be dramatic until the electricity supply in the north will cost COSTT 8.5m euros for the three winter months, based on the market stock market in the energy price.
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said all negotiations on the situation in energy are correct, but that they are not the last eight months, but the last 18 years.
However, he said that it has been put on the table and that there is no going back to improving electricity.
Kosovo now has no turning back but to find a way out of this situation, but the exit can get a month, two, three, but going back cannot, we can't go back to the previous state when the currents are supplied and nobody pays it, that's what the Court has found that it's unfair, we can't tolerate without borders even the payment from the public budget. However, praying also from the parties, friends, our partners, those who have invested in the broadcast, we have made a temporary solution to allocate 1m euros from the country's citizens' taxes to achieve time, not to go back, but to the time when it is elected”, Haradinaj stressed.
Haradinaj added that the Serbian side has misused this topic and is continuing to be tolerated by Brussels.
He added that the decision to divide a million people has made it consciously, but not to support sexmen and beneficiaries, but to establish order and extend authority to the north, the energy market.
