Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, during his stay in Italy, held a special meeting today with representatives of the Arabs there.
Haradinaj “high-valued their continued commitments to preserve and cultivate Albanian national identity”, a government announcement suggests.
Haradinaj said Italy's Arabs have always been a source of inspiration and power for all Albanians.
Kosovo is joining the family of European peoples, and this strengthens our spiritual and national ties”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
In order to preserve culture and strengthen reports between Kosovo and the Arbeers in Italy, Haradinaj invited representatives of the Arab cultural organisations to visit Kosovo as often as possible.
For me, it's a significant moment to stay with you today. You have survived over the centuries the identity, language, Albanian and Christian values, inherited ever since. I would like to tell you that we highly appreciate you”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said in a conversation with the Arabs of Italy, but also Kosovars who have long lived in Italy.
The prime minister also said that relations with Italy's Arab community are very important, and in this respect Albanians should intensify them, with the aim of preserving this cultural and national wealth, but also cultivating mutual friendship.
Haradinaj also visited the Abreshe St. Thanasi Catholic Church and the Greek College, where he was announced for the nearest time with the historical and cultural value of these two monuments by the arch intellectual Domenico Morelli.
