Germany continues mandate of its troops in Kosovo

Germany's government decided to extend its three military missions -- to Kosovo, Libya and Lebanon.
The cabinet made the decision during a session Wednesday, while Bundestag, or Parliament's Lower Chamber, should approve it.
Germany's involvement in Kosovo is its longest on a foreign mission -- 18 years respectively.
German forces are part of the NATO peacekeeping mission KFOR.
As part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, Germany also offers support to the Lebanese Navy and helps it combat arms smuggling.
Meanwhile, ships patrolling the coast outside Libya have been authorised by the European Union to combat human trafficking through the Mediterranean Sea.
