This morning, Ferizaj Community Chairman Agim Aliu has held the second meeting with members of the Municipal Security Council in Community, with what key point of discussion, was the situation after the recent rains of rain and hail, as well as general security.
At this meeting, Aliu presented in detail a report on the assessment of this situation and actions that were undertaken by the task-force created and guided by him himself.
It was also widely discussed in areas where flooding has caused damage, as well as stages of reaction by municipal authorities. Special emphasis on this meeting, Aliu pointed to the damage that has been done especially in agricultural cultures and households, for which two municipal damage assessment commissions have been formed, one in the field of agriculture and the other in public services and infrastructure.
To compensate for the damages, after preparing the regional report, the Chairman of Ferizaj will also address the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, or, the Ministry of Agriculture for Support through reserve funds.
On the other hand, as far as the area of general security on Ferizaj's territory, Police Station Commander in Ferizaj, Qazim Reka said the situation in general is calm and ongoing field operations are under way to boost public safety.
Aliu asked Kosovo Police representatives to draft an Action Plan for Traffic as prepared to cope with the arrival of exiles, as well as a plan for avoiding fatal accidents, which would result in increased control in different cafes, alcohol tests for drivers, and other measures involving traffic safety.
In the field of education by those present, various proposals were also presented that would boost safety in schools. Ferizaj Mayor Agim Aliu assured representatives of the Parents' Council and all members of the KKSB that local governance has a clear project to boost security in schools, a project that is in preparation stage and that with the start of the new school year will begin to implement.
Aliu also announced that in order to increase student safety and economy senior spending for families with their senior children, he has decided that this year's senior prom will be organised and held at hotel facilities on Ferizaj territory, and not just as it has been the current practice to be held in other cities in the country.
