The chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, has said that the Brussels Dialogue implies exchanges and free contacts between Kosovo and Serbia, and has demanded that the two countries continue dialogue aimed at normalisation. Regarding cancelling the invitation for Kosovo MPs to attend a conference [...]
Regarding the annulment of the invitation for Kosovo deputies for participation in a conference organised by Serbia's Parliament, Apostolova said that “dialog has to do with exchanges and free contacts between officials, neighbours, citizens and communities. Neighbors are obliged to interact and live together, side by side, in order to live a normal” life.
She has added that the process of direct and normal contacts is part of the biggest issue of reconciliation. The Kosovo and Balkan people will benefit greatly from normalisation, reconciliation and good neighbourly relations, from finding a way to end long and painful disputes”, the EU office chief in Pristina has added. It has urged Kosovo and Serbia to continue the dialogue, which will lead towards full normalisation of relations between the two countries, writes Koha Ditore.
“We call on relevant authorities to protect EU values, not only during Europe's Day but also other days, and to continue the important work of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia”.
