The debate over the future of this process, according to KDI, should be held in the Kosovo Assembly, where parliamentary parties should aim to build political consensus and clearly articulate Kosovo's positions in these talks.
The “Deputes on this platform should determine the topics of discussion, the expectations of the Kosovar side, the role of institutions and the negotiating team, giving legitimacy to this state process with the adoption of a resolution that will also ensure the co-ordination of institutions, inclusion, accountability and transparency”, said in the communiqué.
Otherwise, the Kosovo government on April 19th 2018 approved the platform draft for finalising the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, which was handed over to the president of Kosovo and the Kosovo Assembly.
This platform in the form of a draft resolution was reviewed at the Foreign Affairs Commission on May 4th, 2019. This commission decided to proceed with the platform at the plenary session, yet the assembly so far is not interested in granting priority to Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
