88-year-old Consuello Loera now lives in a luxury complex protected by armed forces, all paid by her son. But she has confessed the difficulties of El Chapos's youth, writes Periscope.
Loera has described her imprisoned son as a hard worker at youth age, telling the prestige “Time” that “ai has always tried for a better life, even when he was a little boy”.
Loera said that there was neither water nor electricity in the youth where El Chapo lived.
She said: “were hard times. We tried for something better. ”
“As a young man, Guzman had to help secure food, selling oranges to surrounding villagers and farmers”, she said.
By the age of 15, he quit this business, and started to cultivate opium and within a few decades built his own drug cartel.
