The institution, which oversees the work of Kosovo municipalities, has decided to take legal steps towards some of them.
It's the Dragasch Community to which MAPL has launched judicial proceedings, KTV reports.
All of this after the Dragas municipality had ignored MAPL's recommendations for reconsidering the municipality's decision to appoint the municipality's deputy head for communities.
The Ministry of Management of Local Power had demanded that the municipality's decision to elect Deputy Mayor Sheriff Aga be reviewed.
This, since with legislation in effect, this post must meet the community with higher percentages, which in this case is the goran community, which makes up 24 percent of the population.
However, the mayor of the Dragas municipality, Shaban Shabani, said by telephone that they believe the appointment decision was made under the Law for Local Self - Rule. However, Shaban has stressed that any future court ruling will be carried out.
Besides Dragasish, the MAPL has also warned of several other municipalities, which have also not taken into account the demands for reviewing the acts.
Since the beginning of the year, MAPL, through a letter sent to Kosovo municipalities, had warned that it would proceed to court those municipalities, which do not carefully address the requirements for review and harmonisation of acts in accordance with laws in force.
Otherwise, there are 9 municipalities that have issued illegal sublegal acts, which also have not taken into account MAPL's demands for harmonising these acts.
