Initially, the mayor of the municipality, Lutfi Haziri, has introduced the new composition of the KKSB, where several completions and replacements have been made, as well as authorised Halit Rexhepi, to co-ordinator of this municipal body.

As far as Orthodox cemetery is concerned, priest Alexander Markovic demanded that he intervene in space regulation, since the situation according to him is not good, while Agim Hyseni, representative of the Council of the Islamic Community, said the situation in the city cemetery, is generally grave despite the religious affiliation of the dead, who deserve respect just as the living, he added.

General security in the municipality of Gjilan has been deemed calm.

Nasser Berman, deputy commander of the Police Station, has said the situation is in normal parameters, even in this period, compared to the same period last year, there is a drop of over 36 per cent of various criminal acts, he has said.

The KKSB has also discussed the city's communications situation, which happens to be aggravated from time to time at the main crossroads, where it has asked police to do permanent surveillance at these points to avoid blocking roads.

A report on the situation in the emergency sector has said Sami Spahiu, director of Protection and Salvation, who has said that this segment remains committed to protecting the wealth and life of citizens in cases where they are threatened by floods, fires and other natural disasters, as witnessed in recent days, with the case of rainfall, intervening wherever there was a need.

Spahiu said they would raise the level of readiness for response in emergency situations, but according to him, an urgent cleanup of river beds is needed, in order to reduce the possibility of damage and consequences from eventual flows.

At the function of a security increase, in Gjilan, the installation of cameras in the city, a project that is being implemented by the Gnjilane Community, in collaboration with the American Embassy.
