Oswald Gantois, who is accused of helping Russia, said that “any diplomat should be a bit of a spy”
A Belgian diplomat who had been spying on his country for Russia for 25 years has said he's been acting for quite a while like James Bond, followed Periscope.
Gantois, 63, is being charged with bringing information to the KGB and the organisation that followed SVR so that the Kremlin used to create fake letters and identities for its agents.
The case against the former consul, who had worked in the United States, India, Japan, Portugal and Algeria during his long career, was built using secret agents, after months of escorting, by wiretaps.
Gantois, said he never took money for what he told the Russians. I've never taken money... I've never discovered state secrets,” he said. I'm right by myself and that's enough. This case has ruined my career. In the eyes of the investigators, I was guilty from the beginning.
The verdict will take place on June 13th. /Periscopi
