“EULEX has made a huge contribution to Kosovo, there have been challenges like any other institution it could have. As for EULEX's future, the European Union and the Government are discussing what will be done, and I believe that in the coming months we will have a kind of reorient on what will be done with EULEX”, Delawie said at RTV Dukagujini.
The ambassador has stressed that what is positive is that things for EULEX transition are going well.
Delawie has further added that the moment EULEX leaves then the justice system in Kosovo will have more responsibility.
When EULEX leaves Kosovo then there is none other than Kosovo citizens who will take their opinions on potential prosecutors, judges and criminals, there will be much more general for the entire judicial system in Kosovo and there will be no more where you can point your finger because there are no more foreigners, Delawi added.
He stressed that we should hope that locals will do the job better than internationals.
