Sheriff's office in Denton County said that the shooting took place the same day at a house in Ponder, some 30 miles [50 km] from Fort Worth City.
The five victims had been declared dead on the crime scene, while a woman had been transported to the Medical Centre in Denton.
Captain Orlando Hinojosa has said that there is no active armed attacker, but he has not published any details about the male suspect who is already dead.
