Residents of the village of Bellopoja have complained about a factory that throws undiverted chemicals on the Batlava River.
The factory, according to residents, produces food oil and they are suffering from this poisoning because the Batala River passes through the village of Gerdofc, Bellopoja, to cross to Shakovica and beyond.
Residents have called this a crime against nature and have sought urgent solutions to the issue.
Below, find the residents ' full response:
The people of the village of Bellopoy are suffering from the poisoned river!
A businessman associated with politics stronger than the state. Tell him every weekend when the state is not officially working, with a small factory producing food oil, poisons water by throwing undiversted chemicals into the Batlava River that runs through the village of Gerdofc and Bellopoja to continue in the village of Shakovica.
Strangely though, contrary to all the laws and instructions we speak about the environment, no one stops it, and why? The simple answer, the municipal officials of Podujevo, the commitment of the ministry behind them, does not weep for dozens of residents in the village of Bellopoja, who work the land, especially those who grow pepper, tomato, and other agricultural cultures and are poisoned by agricultural products and unable to water the land with river water.
Yesterday we visited the river, and some of the village residents announced that this year again, the poisoning of water from the oil factory from the fsh.luga, which is using the weekend to free the chemicals in the river.
Although residents have sometimes protested, to stop poisoning river water from the factory, they have complained in the Podujevo municipality and the Ministry of Environment, but this problem has never been solved. Residents seek solutions to the problem until no harm has occurred, as this situation is unbearable.
As residents, they are not opposed to the factory but are demanding that the remains of chemicals not be thrown into the river and that their agricultural land not be exhausted.
The images provided yesterday testify to a nature crime and an emergency to solve the problem.
And with the residents, we're going to follow this case on legal grounds, so we need everyone's help.
