It has been almost a year since former journalist Arbana Jarra, already part of the cabinet of Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel, has been physically attacked by still unknown persons.
It was May 13, 2017, when it was reported for a physical attack in Pristina, the victim of Arbana Xharra, who was brutally beaten in the parking lot in which he lived in late evening hours.
But since then, Kosovo police have still failed to identify the owners of this attack, while the case is still under investigation.
Periscop has contacted Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutor, who have said the prosecutor has authorised the Kosovo Police to collect information about this case, but that so far there is nothing concrete.
) The prosecution has issued a warrant for collecting information from the Kosovo Police. There are still no suspects, but that competent organs are dealing with this case, says the Basic Prosecutor's response to Periscope.
Former editor-in-chief of the daily égier Zeri and member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Arbana Jarra, had been beaten by strong means, by people still unknown.
The attack, as Kosovo Police had announced, had occurred near her residence after 0100 p.m. after midnight. Jarra from her bodily injuries was sent to the Pristina hospital.
Arbana Jarra was then given details about what had happened that night. She has mentioned some of her friends, who she says were lynching and because of them, complete other statements against her on social networks, resulted in physical assault.
We remember that the attack had happened only a few days after the journalist Jarra had joined. The PDK, which for years it had criticised. Citizens and all public opinion had remained surprised at its move, even accused that Kadri Wessel had offered her any important positions in return.
But Jarra on the day when she made her union with the Democratic Party of Kosovo official, had said she was unconditionally entering it.
It's this party that promised me space, I've come without bail. I've continued with dignity to work, I've continued to be the voice of the citizen of Kosovo. I keep standing behind the scriptures I've done and I've continued with the critical stand even within the party”, was her statement.
Now it continues to be part of the PDK, while it is not yet known who left them bruised in the face and body./Periscopi/
