A Turkish court in Izmir sentenced 104 people to life in prison, due to participation in the failed 2016 coup, Turkish media write.
The court sentenced 21 people to 20 years in prison because of President Recep Tayip Erdogan's insult and 31 persons to 10.5 years in prison for membership in the FETO terrorist organisation.
The Turkish government for the failed coup accuses imam Fettullah Gulen, who lives in the US. He has dismissed Ankara's official accusations and condemned the failed coup.
In contrast, as many as 160,000 people have been arrested in Turkey since the attempt to put a stamp in Turkey, and as many people have left their jobs.
Over 50,000 are formally charged and awaiting trial in prison.
