In a media report Apeli says, this court is committed to “resolving the most reasonable anti-corruption subject”. Further indicating that the Appeals' decision against Enver Hasani, and the other two indictees in his subject, Albert Rakipi and Hakif Veliu, will be taken very quickly.
The three are charged with criminal fraud in office by Article 341 paragraph 3 of the Kosovo Criminal Code. Even in this case, the judicial college is expected to make a decision very quickly, the Court of Appeals reports.
Enver Hasani has been sentenced in September last year to a year in prison on bail for two years verifying by the Constitutional Court in Pristina over the contract to translate books from English into Albanian for Pristina University.
The court found the other two indictees guilty in the case, Albert Rakipi and Hakif Veliu. These two are sentenced to six months in prison, which was replaced by a fine of 10,000 euros.
Also, the three indictees are forced by the first-degree court that in a way “soldian” compensates Pristina University for a total of 70 thousand euros.
According to the Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Act, Enver Hasani in the quality of Pristina University's rector, Hakif Veliu as chief of procurement at the UPP and Albert Rakipi as director of the Institute for International Studies ISN, were accused of committing criminal work of fraud in office in co-ordination.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina condemned them according to the Special Prosecutor's claims, which says the accused had committed it in connection with the realisation of the contract for translating books from English into Albanian for the needs of the UPI.
