US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott said today that yesterday's incident in Cline's Potter in Kosovo highlights the need for additional efforts in reaching the comprehensive agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
The yesterday's <x0 incident in Peterq highlights the need for additional efforts about reaching the comprehensive agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, that the Serb population should secure freedom to participate in political, social and religious life in Kosovo without fear of their security”, FoNet quoted Scott's post on the social Twitter network.
A group of Serbs had come to Peterq yesterday for a pilgrimage to the country where they had established a church in 1992, even though there had never been a religious temple before, much less Serb Orthodox, where in 1999 Serb paramilitaries committed massacres on Albanians, as a result, 15 civilians were victims.
During the local population protest, three Serbs were injured, one was arrested with suspicion of having committed crimes on Albanians, but later set free, as well as the Albanian head of the village, who was also released after the police interview.
