According to a report published by the Statistics Institute on causes of death in Albania, 90.1% of Albanians die for natural causes, so different diseases, 0.9% commit suicide and 2.1% die in accidents.
In 2017, 11,926 people have died because of heart disease, with 2.5% growth from a year ago, and with steps so frightening, the number of people who have lost their lives due to various tumors has increased by 2.1%.
Statistics have increased significantly when talking about bone and key diseases, with an increase of 42.3%, respiratory diseases, nervous systems, or diseases emerging in the period around birth.
In the rate of disease, the number of deaths from skin diseases result in a significant decline, complications during pregnancy and childbirth, infectious diseases, or because of trauma and poisoning. The oldest group affected by heart disease, with 84.8%, is between 50 and 80 years of age, but people from 40-49, with 38.6% of the death toll.
In 2017, the highest death toll from heart disease was recorded in Berat and Kukes, with over 60%. In Shkodra, meanwhile, the highest number of deaths have been recorded due to tumors. In Lezha, the highest death toll is marked due to traumatic injuries and poisoning.
And Elbasan is in charge of the death toll from symptoms and well-definated diseases. /Tch
